Tāwhiri Workshop
Established in the 1990s, the expert team at the Tāwhiri Workshop designs, builds, and hires out sets and staging elements to events and arts clients across Aotearoa.
As well as producing sets for Tāwhiri's own festivals and events, the Workshop also services a host of external clients including World of WearableArt, Wellington Opera, Live Nation, GMG Productions and Auckland Theatre Company. Tāwhiri Warehouse
Tāwhiri Warehouse is a 1000m2 warehouse-style venue space in Newtown, in the Te Whaea complex.
It is available to hire now for rehearsals, workshops or other creative activities and is hired on an “as-is” basis. Email us to enquire and we will get in touch to chat about your requirements.
It will be suitable for public performances soon. We are actively fundraising and working to transform the space into a mid-size, flexible, accessible theatre and rehearsal venue, something the Wellington arts sector has needed for many years.
